She was born in North Carolina, on 3rd December, 1960. She's the eldest of three siblings, born to Peter Moore Smith who was an Army paratrooper. Her mother Anne works as a psychotherapist. When her family moved to Germany Moore attended Frankfurt American High School where she started appearing in performances.
